SR TRAINING SPECIALIST - PHARMA

Job SummaryThe senior Training Specialist is responsible for designing, scheduling, delivering and tracking GMP, technical and organizational development training, along with assisting functional areas with developing competency-based (OJT) training and certification programs.
This includes new employee orientation, technical job performance training, Standard Operating Procedure training as well as cGMP quality/compliance training.
Responsible for assisting assigned departments with the execution of Learning Management System.
This position reports directly into the Training Manager, in absence of Training Manager, the Senior Training Specialist delegates workflow to Training Staff.
Responsibilities Identification of Learning & Development implications to key business priorities.
Identification/development of learning and development needs courses, materials and resources.
Assist with management of the Talent Management process at all levels of the organization.
Involved in design, development and delivery of training as required by site.
Management of GMP training process, requirements, audit issues.
Oversight of general development curriculum.
Assure enhanced employee awareness, skills and knowledge, and assess the effectiveness of training.
Training to ensure optimum performance of all employees.
Responsible for providing monthly, quarterly and annual metrics to site and Regional office Facilitates train-the-trainer program and qualifies all area trainers for content delivery.
Partnership with the functional area, develops training materials, and knowledge assessments, for area SOP's and coordinates knowledge assessment.
Liaises with functional department to draft, implement, approve, and revise OJT assessment documents.
Ensures proper training documentation, follow-up and data-integrity.
Assists area in development of training curricula and module content for assigned areas Partners with functional area to conduct ongoing needs analysis, training effectiveness checks, and trends results as appropriate.

Works with Manufacturing Supervisors and Specialists to assure training curricula assessment and OJT review are conducted according to schedule.
Utilizes established tools (Kanban, Process Mapping, Cause and Effect, Pareto Analysis, etc.
) in defining and understanding training needs.
Promotes cultural change to support ongoing business initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Facilitation and presentation skills' able to lead courses and deliver classroom training.
Ability to handle high level practical queries/ escalation from learners and participants.
Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processing and process equipment.
Quick learning:
able to establish rapport and develop relationships.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Comfortable learning new software multimedia applications Strong team player:
open to assisting with any task in order to get the work completed.
Strong organizational skills:
demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need.
Experience developing, delivering, and assessing classroom, computer-based, and competency based functional training in a GMP environment.
Prior experience in cGMP Manufacturing or Quality Operations; pharmaceutical experience preferred.
