Job Description
Position Summary:
We are searching for a talented Sr. Director of R&D who will drive innovation in upstream biotherapeutic cell culture workflows. The successful candidate will organize and direct a team of engineers and technicians to develop innovative cell culture media formulations, feed supplements, formats and workflows to improve production titers for our Biopharmaceutical customers. Interaction with industry executives, consortia and other key opinion leaders will be an essential component of the role to both understand the innovation needs of the industry and well as represent the Bioproduction Division to the Biopharmaceutical community.
Responsibilities:
Champion the development of technology and new products development roadmaps
Be an integral member of the Cell Culture management team and represents R&D in the annual STRAP, prioritization, and AOP processes for the business.
Partner with other divisions and business units to drive technology collaborations.
Partner with the BPD Vice President of R&D to identify and justify development of innovative new technology.
Actively collaborate with the Market Development and Technical Services teams to understand customer requirements and translate those requirements into differentiated new products and workflow solutions.
Work with customers and commercial teams on complex technical projects; in person, highly visible interactive engagement with customers is expected.
Promote close, productive working collaborations between other R&D groups in the division and across the company.
Manage relationships with key collaborators and help to ensure that their needs and suggestions are given due consideration in the development of our research and new product pipeline.
Perform M&A Technology Assessments as needed.
Responsible for the business unit intellectual property; advocate the need to develop our own IP portfolio and actively supports the IP development processes.
Manage group metrics and trends; implementing proactive actions to increase efficiency and productivity.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, resolving internal issues, annual employee performance reviews, budgets, hiring staff, and mentoring.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in engineering, physical sciences, chemistry or biology required.
Minimum 7 years relevant experience in the development of innovative upstream cell culture media and process solutions
Minimum 3 years of direct people leadership experience
Management and leadership skills with strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to feel at ease communicating regularly with technical and business teams.
Ability to work within a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple sites.
Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
