Position Summary:
The Global Inventory Manager is a key function within the supply chain organization and is responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to build alignment, develop and implement inventory strategies to support sales targets and achieve the working capital and DOS (days of supply) goals for the business unit. To achieve this, it is critical that she/he effectively manages in-coming supply, in-stock levels, and out-going finished goods across multiple sites and continents. The manager will work closely with planning, procurement, operations, and sales team to accomplish goals.
Primary responsibilities include: developing and achieving the working capital & DOS annual operating plan (AOP), forecasting and tracking weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually inventory levels, determine the timing of incoming supply to maximize working capital, and ad hoc analysis as requested by the team. She/he will develop strategies to reduce both working capital & DOS while ensuring availability to most efficiently meet sales and service level goals.
The Inventory manager also works with divisional supply chain teams to execute the overall divisional inventory goals. In addition, this individual participates in strategic process improvement initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of the tools and processes.

Key Objectives:
+ Accurately forecast inventory levels based on changes in supply and demand, commit and achieve
+ Analyze and translate complex data into concise statements, make recommendations and influence decisions
+ Collaborate with global supply chain and sales teams to develop the forecast and drive timing of incoming raw materials to ensure supply meets customer demand
+ Generate and communicate weekly reports to track working capital and DOS
+ Represent the business unit at divisional meetings and communicate our position
+ Provide monthly forecast to Finance
+ Monitor reserved inventories and ensure stocks moves according to plan
+ Develop strategies to achieve working capital and DOS targets while meeting sales plan and service levels
+ Develop, lead, and support process improvement initiatives
+ Participate in shaping the overall supply chain direction and strategy through involvement in cross-functional projects and initiatives
+ Identify and share best practices across sites on multiple continents
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree (preferably Supply Chain/Finance related studies)
+ 6+ years experience with demand and supply planning, inventory management, or procurement
+ Critical thinking skills to identify and make recommendations based on the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
+ Ability to understand and foresee implications of new information for current and future problem solving
+ Has business acumen to effectively communicate & present market dynamics of our business throughout the organization
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent teamwork skills
+ Strong analytical skills (i.e. ability to develop business cases and financial models)
+ Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
+ Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP software)
+ Strong self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision and ability to work with a team.
+ May be required to travel

+ MBA or advanced degree

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
