Key Responsibilities: The Supply Planning Manager takes the demand plan and develops the supply plan using capacity modelling and MRP, ensuring the lowest cost of ownership model for the business.
Effort results in an action plan for constraints and a Master Production Schedule for the site scheduling team to execute.
The job encounters recurring work situations of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity with frequent variations from the norm.
Requires the ability to quickly respond to changing needs by reallocating and/or managing resources accordingly.
Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could result in significant production delays, insufficient or overstocked inventory levels, additional costs, and dissatisfied customers.
Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies, working on problems of relatively moderate scope and complexity.
Generally determines appropriate action for routine to diverse scope and moderate to high complexity problems, by independently referencing operating policies and procedures and using proven approaches.
Directs and controls the activities of the planning and scheduling team.
Has contact with all levels of company employees.
Negotiates and exchanges information with all levels of management.
Receives technical and functional input as appropriate.
This position requires the ability to motivate others and set operational objectives.
Provides guidance to others and provides direct supervision and serve as departmental leader.
Manage and optimize the Make to Stock, Make to Order processes, and Planning work instructions, and data standards Develop processes and procedures for the function of Supply Planning globally Provide training to staff on Supply Planning, MRP, Capacity Modelling Serve as system expert for ERP, Scheduling, Capacity Modelling Lead the development and execution of a business Supply plan and Capacity modelling - Create a Manage a Capacity model for assigned business units/product lines Create a Master Production Schedule for assigned business units/product lines Create, Manage, and maintain all manufacturing Planning data, such as Order policy, value Order policy, freeze fence, reorder points, lead-time, EOQ, raw material and Planning data, WIP Planning, BOM & Routings Lead Planning efforts to optimize the manufacturing engine Responsible for metrics associated with inventory to plan, manufacturing cycle time, DNSA scrap, FGs inventory, and Capacity utilization Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors in business or technical discipline; MBA preferred Minimum 7 years business experience Preferred Qualifications: APICS Certification preferred Advanced skills in Excel, Access, Cognos/Data Warehouses, JD Edwards ERP and/or other ERP system Function is a global and matrix organization Advanced knowledge in Supply Planning (Master Production Scheduling, Materials Requirement Planning, Capacity Planning) processes At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 75,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
